Gruntovka 9-20 september 2010 GOLDEN POT Petr Maslov Curator - Bogdan Mamonov   20-27 september 2009 М M is a new project by three artists from Moscow – Gerasim Kuznetsov, Maria Potapenkova and Anna Russova (members of the chistoye iskusstvo group). The project is about the city of Moscow, as life environment and art space. The three artists are focused on, on the face of it, "well used" subjects of the past and today – Stalinist skyscrapers, the city subway, the open air Moscow swimming pool, the Bolshoi, Red Square, McDonalds restaurants, etc. Employing various styles and techniques, from cartoons to ready made objects, the works by Kuznetsov, Potapenkova and Russova are another attempt to reconsider the "traditional" values in this post-empire period. The project is included in a parallel program of the third Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art. We are happy to invite you to the opening of the exhibition on September 20, 2009 at 19.00.
